Hi!, I’m Achintha Dahanayake. As a fine art landscape and conceptual photographer, I have been on my photography journey since 2012. At first, I photographed everything, but I eventually found my passion in landscape and conceptual photography. My early landscape photos were colorful sunrises and sunsets, but as I developed my own style, I began to focus on more minimal compositions and a subtler, moodier color palette, often using a 1x1 ratio.

In my conceptual photography, I prefer a darker, moodier aesthetic and often present elements for the viewer to interpret and determine meaning with the data they have. Recently, I have also developed a passion for analog photography, which has helped me to slow down and improve my digital photography as well.

In 2018, I was fortunate enough to win first place in the Sony World Photography National Awards (Sri Lanka), which was a confidence-boosting achievement for me. However, I don't believe that winning awards makes one a better photographer, Instead, I believe that photography is a spiritual journey or representation of the individual.
